Your support has given me the same reply twice now and it does not work!

“Please go to Submission Forms, edit your desired form and click “edit” on the field that contains the AJAX search ( if it is the default form then the field should be Subject ) and uncheck the box that says “Enable KB Articles AJAX Search?”. That should be it. If I can be of any other assistance please don’t hesitate to contact us.”

I do not have option to “enable ajax suggestions” on my forms.
I reply and say this does not work, but they never provide any further assistance.

When I click “Edit” on any field, these are the options available:

    Label
    Description

    Description

    After Label After Field

    Type

    Maps to

     Required?

    Label Class

    Input Class

So, instead of providing the usual reply about this….can you provide any further assistance to resolve this?

Sounds like a bug may be preventing the option field from displaying when editing the field. You could delete the subject field and then re-add it. When adding the search option should be displayed

Thanks for the reply but you cannot delete some of the fields, they are hardcoded.

    First Name
    Last Name
    Email Address
    Subject
    Description

I asked them about this and they said to hide such fields via CSS! Yikes, not a great solution!

OK never mind. After messing about with different forms, I’ve found, it was user error. *hides*.
The ajax field suggestion is indeed linked to “Subject” line, but I thought it was linked to “Description” to suggest things as people type explanation of problem.

Actually I do defintiely have a form where this option is not visible on any field. I knew I wasn’t going stupid!

But now I know the option is there on other forms, I will delete this form and start again.

I believe the field must be mapped to ticket title to have the “Enable KB Articles Ajax Search?” option visible

Ah. Maybe it was that. Hopefully they can put this info in their support ticket replies so it will help other people.
    Thanks
