How to hide categories in categories 1 & 2 widgets

    Hi there,

    I have been managed to hide certain categories from my categories widget sidebar…by editing the sidebar.php file and excluding certain categories..now I want to include the categories 1 and 2 widgets also on my site but have different categories displaying on each..what file do I need to manipulate for this?

    Can anyone help me as to how best to do this?
