How to hide category from shop page but still keep it fully accessible?

    Hello,

    I have tried several methods to delete a category from the shop page. The easiest method I”ve tried is just to put the category items to show up as search only. Problem is that these particular category items also serve as cross-sell items and they do not show up as cross-sells when I do that. So I’m wondering how can I delete a category from the shop page while still having those items fully accessible and function completely the same elsewhere across the site?

    I did a google search and found this plugin that seems to do what you are wanting: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/hide-categories-on-shop-page/

    Note that we do not make this plugin, and I do not know if it works for you exactly as you are wanting, but that is what I found.

    Thanks Andrew, but I’d really like a solution without having to use another plugin (especially one that hasn’t been updated in close to a year), can you help with that?
