• Hi all,

I’m looking to hide a category from showing up on my blog (but keeping it visible on a separate category page).

I’ve set the Post Query on the main blog to only show all other categories, perfect! But when I click on a post, the post navigation shows all posts (which includes the ones that were hidden from the query).

Is there a setting I’ve missed to get this to work?

    TIA

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi there @yvieormsby !

In the Blog page /blog , the posts are listed with post categories under each title.

Opening a post will show the category on top of the tile, like “Real Business” category in pink button – is this what you want to remove?

If you’re referring to something else, please share more info and screenshots on what you’re looking to hide so we can take a look.

Hi @kel-dc, thanks for your response ??

That’s not quite it – I’m trying to keep hidden posts hidden.

Pic1: I’ve set the post query to only show the categories & tags I want (via the Query Block settings). Working correctly.

Pic2: However, when I click to view a post (‘Are you afraid…’) the unwanted posts are showing up in the blog navigation.

In this instance ‘Joy Drop: #1’ post should not be showing up because it’s from a different category/tag.

If it helps, my end goal is to have a main blog that shows everything, except ‘Joy Drop’ posts, and then another page which only shows ‘Joy Drop’ posts. I believed that I could utilise the in-built categories function to hide one category (or tag, it doesn’t matter which function) in the main blog, and use the category page template for the other.

Have I gone about this the wrong way? And if so, is there a way of doing it?
