How to hide subpages change colours

    Hello John, sorry to disturb but I saw that you are very kind with everyone and especially with newcomers to wordpress (as I am)
    I have downloaded Simple Custom CSS and I arrive to open the admin related page. I have 4 main issues:

    1)I am using Theme 24 and simple custom CSS and I would like to remove subpages from the sidebar. I have opened the Simple CSS admin page on my blog (https://www.technosource.net/3Dprinting/wp-admin/themes.php?page=simple-custom-css.php&settings-updated=true) and tried to insert this code, then clicking update but it did not work
    <?php wp_list_pages(‘depth=1’); ?><a

    Any suggestions on which code I can use and how?

    2)I would like to take away the green colour in HOME + the lens symbol and put it orange

    3)In the newsroll on the right side the title (3D PRINTING LATEST and MOST AMAZING NEWS) is in black and I would like to do it in orange

    4)In the newsroll on the right side news titles come out in green and I would like to do it in orange
