  • Hi cti,

Can please provide more details? I’m not clear on what you wish to hide on your site.

Sure. When a user logs in to the front end of https://www.FoolsLove.com they see a “Dashboard” menu item on the very top of the web stie. I need to get rid of that Dashboard menu item and all its sub menus.

    Hi cti,

As long as they are only set as subscribers, the only access they will have is their profile. Here is more information from the WordPress Codex on Roles and Capabilities for users:

    https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Roles_and_Capabilities

Thanks for the reply. I tried one plugin wp hide dashboard. It worked fine for Subscirbers, but my members are by default Authors…

    Hello again cti,

If you do not want your users to have that type of access/control then do not allow them to be authors. Roles/capabilities can be altered by plugins so you may want to check your plugin and adjust the default settings in any plugins that you are using.

    Hope this helps!

Thanks. But I want my users to be Authors, so that they can write blogs, etc. I searched and played with several plugins and role management plugins.. no matter what I do, the Dashboard menu item will just not go away lol.. I will check into this after a while again. Thanks for all your replies. I appreciate it.
