    Hi,

I would like to hide the “Uncategorized” category from my store frontend since it cannot be deleted (and it contains 0 product).

Could you please explain me step by step how to hide it from the frontend?
Please note that I am not a developer.

Thank you very much in advance.

If there aren’t any products in this category it shouldn’t be showing in the front end of your site.

The best thing to do is to use this category. You can rename it to a category that you will use.

    Hi @amandasjackson,

There aren’t any products in this “Uncategorized” category but it’s still showing in the front end of my site…

All my categories are already created.
So should I rename a category of product that I already have (for example “Tea” in “Teas”) to give the “Tea” name to the “Uncategorized” category and then move all the products to the new “Tea” category which was the previous “Uncategorized” category?
I just want to be sure not to lose anything by doing this manipulation?

Thank you very much in advance.

Yes, doing it that way will work and nothing will be lost by doing so (I double checked by doing this on my test site)

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
