Hi, I really like the plugin you guys wrote. I am even thinking about getting the pro version later, as I have to organize my media content a little more.

    But now to my problem:

I am using the plug in to be able to upload new pictures I took with my iPhone via ftp to a folder that contains the upload year, month and day, so eg upload/2023/02/03/picture.jpg. After uploading I am using this plugin to sync the folder to get the pictures into the word press media library.

If I sync the pictures for the first time everything is OK. But if I upload some more pictures on the same day, I get in trouble:

My wordpress is configured to add webp files for the generated thumbnails, and sadly the plugin is finding those and registering those as well.

So I would need an option to exclude file types like *.webp from the sync. Is there a way to do this with the actual version or are you planing / could you plan this for a future version?
Or is there a different way to treat webp files so that the plugin does not stumble over those…?

Thanks for any thoughts / ideas / answers…

    Sebastian

I think I understand the issue. Webp images are generated when new images are added and syncing does not recognize them as existing images that do not need to be added to the media library.

Currently the algorithm is does not handle the webp images the way you want, but it would be good if there was a setting to ignore these images. I can look into it and get back to you next week.

@sebastianlotz, I now have a version of Media Library Folders that will skip WEBP files when syncing. I can send you a download link if you send your email address to support at maxfoundry.com.

Please download and try it out and let me know how it works. Also, what plugin are you using to generate WEBP files?
