How to implement a poll/survey on each post (example provided)
-
Hi,
First of all, huge thank you to all the people who browse these forums to try and help people!
I’m trying to create a review section for a client site where users can rate each post by two criteria: quality and political bias. The site publishes articles written by guest authors.
Here is a designer mockup of what they want the feature to look like: https://i.imgur.com/8wR2iEK.jpg
I’m looking for a plugin or solution that is able to provide a poll like that (or as close as possible in terms of features) for each article published on the site so users can see what readers think of that article.
I’ve tried a few plugins, but none is really able to achieve anything close to what I’m looking for.
Here are some that I tried and the issues I faced:
- Multi Rating (free): Allows multiple criteria voting but averages the two numbers together after the vote is made. I’m looking to display political bias and quality separately (as they are separate things and it doesn’t make sense to get an average).
- WP Review Pro (paid): Same issue basically.
- Epoll 3.0 PRO: Has all the features we need, except that it does not allow you to have separate polls for each post which is (obviously) a deal breaker for our use case since the whole goal is to give ratings for each individual post.
How would I go about this? Is there a plugin or something that will help me get this done? Am I crazy for even attempting a feature like this in WordPress?
Again, thanks for all the help you guys provide!
Vihan
