• After doing a lot of looking around in the WordPress Admin, the Codex, and Support, I still seemed to be missing something. In the WordPress Codex entry about importing, it only said:

To start the importer, go to Manage → Import → Blogger and follow the directions.

In WordPress 2.7, there is no such navigation, so I have updated the relevant Codex entry about Blogger. However, the overall page needs some love, so if anyone has the time or inclination, please update it!

  • In WordPress 2.7, you go to Tools > Import.

Unfortunately, the top level Tools page in the WordPress 2.7 admin is poorly designed, and shows only the Gears and Press This features, leaving one with the impression that that’s all that exists under Tools.

Of course, if you scroll all the way down and look at the left-side navigation, you’ll find a list of other options (including Import, Export, and Upgrade).

OK, so I am using 2.7. I found “Import” under the “Tools” menu but all I see is:
    “Import
If you have posts or comments in another system, WordPress can import those into this blog. To get started, choose a system to import from below:”
followed by a whole bunch of blank space. I am not sure what should be there but I am not seeing it.

@splynch I have the same problem using 2.8.
I would like to import from blogger, but I don’t get the list of importing options that I believe I should see.
