    Hi Amazing people,
I am an old user of Yoast SEO and of course loving it ?? . I was reading this tutorial here: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-to-customize-the-sitemap-index/ . Just wanted to know if there is any way to include only specific taxonomies ( 5-6 primary categories) to my sitemap rather than including all categories and then excluding few using functions.php code?

    I mean, I have 35 categories ( 10 primary and 25 sub-categories) and I only want Google to index 5-6 primary categories.

Now using the current method, I have to enable “Categories in Sitemap” from setting and then write “excluding functions.php code” for all categories except those 5-6 categories.

What if I can disable “Categories in Sitemap” from setting and then write “including functions.php code” for only those 5-6 categories.

How can I do this?Yes! I don’t index tags in the sitemap.

Please help with the including functions.php code. Thank you.
