How to include the cost for tracking

There are different types of packing options in USPS First Class Mail, and only First Class Package is eligible for tracking.

So the First Class Package for both domestic and international tracking should work.

If you need to add additional charges you can use the price adjustment field in the plugin settings page under services.

I see there is an option for:
First-Class Mail? Parcel
AND
First-Class? Package Service

From what I understand, I should have the Package option checked off and leave the Mail alone? Is that correct? And this will automatically add in the tracking cost?

It seems like no matter what I check off, it just reports “First Class Mail (USPS)” in my shopping cart, even when I only have Package checked off.

For all First Class services it will show the shipping method name as First Class Mail, If you want to rename it you can go to the Services and changed the name.

So what is actually happening in the background then? The dollar value is just adjusting based on the specific service? From what you are saying… if I set it to “Package”, the user experience won’t change, but it will calculate the dollar value to include tracking – is that correct? (That’s what I’m looking for)

First Class mail is a general service name for all first class services, it includes package, postcards, envelopes, parcel, stamps. etc.

So if you have enabled on package service only package service will return the rates which should include tracking charges. So renaming the Service name will not affect the actual cost or service.
