How to include/referrence a file in child theme?

Yes keesiemeijer i’ve tried this without result!

In the paragraph “Other Files” it says: “In other words if you have a file in your parent theme parent-theme-dir/includes/filename.php and this file is not included by any of your template files or functions.php file then you can not override this file by your child theme.”

So the problem is that the file i edit is not included by any of the template files or functions.php

What do you mean? The slider.php has this path… /httpdocs/wp-content/themes/cherry/templates/slider.php (this is the parent theme).

I’m sorry but as you are using a commercial theme, you need to seek support from the theme’s developer/vendor. We do not support commercial themes here.

I didn’t pay for support! Every support from the authors of the themes are on their desicion to be made! If you do not want to help it’s ok.
