How to increase number of results on search results page?

    Hello

    I was just wondering if someone could tell me how I increase the number of results found on the search results page from 5 to 10?

    I would like to display all properties for rent from a search and not be limited to just 5 (which seems to be my default number) – I can’t see anywhere how to increase the number.

    Hi James, this is controlled by your WordPress options for number of posts.

    Dashboard > Settings > Reading > Number of posts,

    Alternatively you can use pre_get_posts see here

    Hi Merv,

    Many thanks for getting back to me!

    I had a look at the Reading > “Blog Pages Show at Most” and I had already set this to 10 – so that isn’t controlling the number of posts. I have also added the pre_get_posts function to the function.php file, adjusted the number and that too hasn’t worked.

    I’m currently using the DIVI theme, which may be the reason something isn’t working? The site is https://myPlaceProperties.co.uk – any further assistance would be very appreciated.

    Hi Merv,

    Just wanted to let you know that I have sorted the issue!

    I had to go into the Theme options and change “Number of Posts displayed on Archive pages”.
