How to insert an image onto homepage

    Hi

    I am in the middle of choosing the right theme for my new website. Some of them don’t have the option to insert an image on the homepage just down the top main menu. Would the forum be so kind as to advice how to do it? If I choose a static page as homepage and insert an image there, the space between the main menu and the image will be too large.
