How to insert pop-up

I apologize if this this such a fundamental question, but for the life of me, I could not find instructions as to how to insert a pop-up into my text. I installed Popup Maker, I created a pop-up with a popmake –123. Now I want to use it on a page: when a word in a paragraph appears as a regular link (in link color) it should click to open the pop-up, not a link to a page. I read through documentation and so some reference to element class ID (?) I would appreciate any help in this regard. I also looked through the support forum, and now I have no choice but post this. If someone can kindly give me the full code to insert using popmake-123 I should be able to figure the rest out.
