How to insert short codes to make the add cart plugin work?

  • Hello,
    I’v already completed my site where I’d built a CPT post called product where I’ve inserted different fields like: price, color, size etc. User can put values on these field and are displayed on my single.php. And later I thought to insert the shopping cart plugin and I downloaded this plugin and activated it. Now I’m confused that where and how to insert this short code. How can I display and make it work? Can anyone please guide and explain me?

    Thanks for your suggestion. It was quite helpful. But my problem is that I can’t add cart on my CUSTOM POST TYPE “PRODUCT”. When I click on add product and do all the above steps as I instructed, I can see nothing. I can place it on my pages but not on my posts.
