How to install manually
-
How do I set up WP Super Cache manually? We have ongoing issues with our server – WordPress cannot write to files, even when permissions are set to 777, so all plugins, etc, need to be uploaded manually.
Having activated the plugin, I receive the errors:
Warning! Could not update /home/hatblock/public_html/uhfuyjhjk/wp-config.php! WPCACHEHOME must be set in config file.
Warning! /home/hatblock/public_html/uhfuyjhjk/wp-content/advanced-cache.php does not exist or cannot be updated.
I’m a little confused what to do to make the necessary changes manually (which am happy to do via FTP) – could anyone please advise how to get the plugin up and running under these ‘can’t write’ constraints?
