• I’m trying to install plugins in my WordPress sub sites instead of network activate that plugin. But I’m not seeing any “add new” link in my subsite plugin area. How to install plugins in my individual sites. Am I missing something?.

    Thanks

  • Although I’m not 100% sure I don’t think that you can ‘install’ individual plugins into sites.

You’ll have to install them globally through the Network Admin as you normally do and for each admin to have access to the plugins list on their Admin Panel you can go to Settings -> Network Settings and the last option there is ‘Enable administration menus’.

This will open up the menu link and Admins will be able to select which plugin they want to activate on their site. If you still don’t want them to see the list of plugins you can simply go to their dashboard as a Network Admin and enable them yourself without enabling the menu option from the settings.

Basically there’s no ‘Add New’ on subsites. The difference is Network Activate forces that plugin everywhere ( and stays hidden on the subsites plugin list ), or give access to the admins on all installed plugins for them to activate what they want.

Yes, what Xenos said. You can activate it on only one site, but you have to install it for the whole network.
