how to install publicize

  • JetPack is still a FAR CRY from publicize. It just has the silly “Sharing” thing, for which I don’t need a plugin at all, just some code from ShareThis does the job and usually looks cleaner. Also don’t need their gravatar hover nonsense, as I use LiveFyre or Disqus for the comments.

    Basically, JetPack is a useless mess of a beast. I uninstalled it in 10 minutes.

    What’s badly needed by the community is to have WordPress.com also release publicize as a plugin for those who use THEIR platform, but on our own sites.

    So much for “open”.
