How to install WordPress in subdirectory?
-
Hello all! Well, I’m confused if this is the right category to post about this. I don’t have any problem installing my WordPress and I have a few WP blogs running well. But I’m planning of creating a few more blogs in the subdirectory of existing domains.
Let’s see I own example.com and a WordPress is running on it. Now I want to create a dedicated blog to music at example.com/music. I know the structure looks like a page, but I also know it’s possible to host a total new installation in such address. The question is, how?
Will it be okay if I simply create a directory on public_html folder and install a new WordPress there? Or there are some other things to get this done? Please note that my hosting had disabled subdomains so I can’t create a new subdomain. Subdirectory is the only choice.
I have another 24 MySQL databases left so I can assign new databases to new WordPress installations. The question is, again, how to install WordPress in subdirectory while the root is already running a wordpress?
