• I installed WP Super Cash on a windows server and got the “Mod rewrite may not be installed” message.

    I bought and installed the “ISAPI Rewrite” program https://www.helicontech.com/ but WP Super Cash still does not generate the
    WP-Cache (0KB)

    * 0 Cached Pages
    * 0 Expired Pages

    WP-Super-Cache (0KB)

    * 0 Cached Pages
    * 0 Expired Pages

    Probably WP Super cash need some specific lines in the .htaccess file.
    I created this file, since this is not a standard file on a windows server.

    So my questions is:
    1) How to run WP Super cash on a windows server
    2) Does WP Super cash requires a .htaccess files and should this be manually created?
    3) which code needs to be in the .htaccess file?

    Thanks for your help,

    Jack Hopman

  • Try the development version (on the download page) and enable PHP caching. It’s almost as fast as mod_rewrite served cache files and will work anywhere PHP works.

    Donncha, I found the development version link on the bottom of the download page. If this works and make the site fast I am glad to donate.

    De-activated Standard WP Super Cash and renamed folder wp-super-cache_old and file old_advanced-cache.phporg and OLD_wp-cache-config.phporg.

    Installed new WP Super Cash development version, selected “Use PHP to serve cache files.” and Updated Status.

    Matched the mod settings in .htaccess file.

    Here are the messages:

    Cache Tester

    Test your cached website by clicking the test button below.

    Fetching https://www.stock-software.org/ to prime cache: OK

    Fetching first copy of https://www.stock-software.org/: OK

    Fetching second copy of https://www.stock-software.org/: OK

    The pages do not match! Timestamps differ or were not found!

    And:
    Cache Contents

    WP-Cache (0KB)

    * 0 Cached Pages
    * 0 Expired Pages

    WP-Super-Cache (0KB)

    * 0 Cached Pages
    * 0 Expired Pages

    Legacy page caching does also not work.

    Please help to install WP-Super-Cache on windows server.

    Thanks,

    Jack

    First of all, it’s “cache”, not “cash”. Try the debug system on the admin page. That will show what the plugin does. Do NOT post the content of your debug log here. Use a pastebin or use it to work out where things are going wrong. It’s quite verbose.

    Debugging helped to successfully cache the pages.

    Now the home https://stock-software.org/ page load quick but the subpaages have still a load time of about 6 sec measured with https://www.websitepulse.com/help/tools.php .

    I decactivated all other plugins which did not make a difference.

    In Chrome the fav icon keep turning after the page is loaded.

    The Debug mode does not report tiem steps of each small action what takes time.

    What can be the problem to slowly load sub pages?

    Thanks,

    Jack

    Donncha – pages seems to load fast but it takes 6 seconds that the WordPress with whatever it is.

    Subpages get cached. WP Spoer Cash report also “The pages do not match! Timestamps differ or were not found!”

    I am offering you $100 to help me with loading the pages within 2 seconds.
