How to integrate external forum with WordPress?

Hello,
I want to have forum in my WordPress website. So far I tried the plugins of WordPress: Asgaros and wpForo. They lack some features I’m looking for. So I want to use phpBB.

The good thing about the built-in WordPress forum plugins is that you can have the forum in the same website, same header, footer, and all the general looks of it, and the forums show up as a page of your website. The problem with phpBB is that I can only put a link to the forum on the navbar but then it opens in a different website with totally different look. Is there a way to open the phpBB as a page of your website and keeping all the surrounding as the original website?

You can use phpBB with WordPress. There are a few integration plugins at www.ads-software.com. Check this out.

That’s not what I’m looking for.. I’m looking for a way to contain the forum in WordPress site. I want to make a phpBB forum look like it’s part of the website in term of looks, not bridges between the two. I just want to be able to click “forums” on the navbar and that the forums will open in the same website..
