How to let users comment on pages

have you checked all tickboxes in the ‘dashboard’ under ‘discussion’ below the ‘edit page’ editor window?
if they don’t appear, check the ‘screen options’ tab near the top right on the ‘edit page’ page.

does the template file page.php of your theme have a line with comments_template(); (similar as it might be in single.php of your theme)?

Hmm.. The page.php did not have that, while single.php did. I put that code under page.php (I think in the right place) but nothing changed.

i would add the code before the endwhile; of the loop.

do you get any messages now below the page content – such as ‘comments closed’ or similar?

or simply nothing?

you might still need to tick a few boxes in the ‘discussion’ settings or for the individual pages.
