How to limit the asides number?

    I made a home.php template file with Matt’s asides solution. Now I only want to limit the number of asides to 3 or 4 not to mess up my homepage. Is there an easy way to do this? Without creating a second loop or messing with miniblog plugin? The search doesn’t give any suitable answers ??
