How to limit the size of a widget within a single column section?

    Hello,

    I have a section on my page, which I want it to be full width section. It is so, casue I want the background to appear full length.

    Now I add a text widget to the section. It occupies the 100% width of the single column, within the section. But I want the widget to be only 50% of the full width, and central and middle aligned.

    How can I achieve the same? This is a generic case, which I would like the flexibility for on all pages and sections.
