I know this is an elementary question but I can’t find it documented anyway. How do I make a link between the post I’m writing now and another, earlier one? Is there a quick and easy way of doing this?

  • Ping it.
Find the old post and link to it in the newer post.
    A regular < a href=”my old post” >what I said last December< /a > type link will do.
You will end up with a link both ways then.

I don’t see how you would ping it.

I understand about making the link; I just thought there might be a quicker way without having to copy it all out.

After a bit of searching I’ve found a plugin which is supposed to do what I want at erwing.terong.com. Unfortunately it seems to have a bug, because the link it makes is not there when I exit the script. I’ll contact the author about this.

Ok, I’ve now got this script working well and it’s exactly what I was looking for, so the problem is solved.
