How to link image in a post template in 2022 theme?

I’ve created a post template in default WordPress 2022 theme using template editor in WordPress 2022 theme.

Dashboard -> Appearance -> Editor -> Edit Template

Such template can be access from example.com/wp-admin/site-editor.php?postType=wp_template

In this template I’ve added an image. I want to link this image to external website, how to do that? I don’t see any option to add link anywhere neither in template editor nor in the post edit (which uses this template).
