• Hi all,

I am just wondering if there is a way to change all my images that way so that they link to the actual post they are posted in ?

I can do it manually but it would be a pain as I would need to update 200+ posts.

The purpose of this is that I have noticed that manny people who want to read the entire post on one of my WordPress sites just click the image (each post starts with an image, due to the nature of the content)

I have the search and replace plugin installed, which could possibly do it.

Any feedback would be much appreciated.

    Regards,
    Steve

  • If you get into the habit of linking the image to it’s post when you insert it, then it’s not difficult at all.

    That’s true for sure.
However, I did not realize I wanna do that up to now. So I have 200+ posts which I need to edit and hope that somebody knows a way on how to do it. ??

I’m not 100% sure, since I always set it as I publish, but I think you might be able to set that globally from within the Media Library.

Maybe you should just bite the bullet now, by manually editing the image links, and start using better practices before the problem gets any bigger.

Plugins are helpful when there’s no other way to do something, but I’d use them sparingly, and limit their number to 3 or 4.
