    Dear WooCommerce-Team.

Sorry if i ask a stupid question, but i did’nt find anything about this:

If i link a products-page, gutenberg gives me autosuggestion, for archive-pages not.
My way now is to copy the “title form” and append to website-url.
But isn’t it dangerous, if i change the name of category someday, all my links in textblocks will be broken.

So, i think its better to works with the archive-ID’s.
I tried to achieve the wordpress way: /index.php?cat=7 but did’nt work.

Please give me a little advice or link how to do it right way.

    Thank you in advance

    Best regards
    André

    Hi there,

If I’m correct you can force the block to auto-populate links with a specific format but you can surely use a different URL format then the one defined in your WP settings. For instance, let’s you have product categories called “accessories”, so the default slug will be “accessories”, then you will be able to use https://mysite.com/?product_cat=accessories

That is the default URL, it’s not using IDs.

    Dear Remi.

    Thank you for fast reply.
What happens if i rename the category-slug?
Surely all of the links will be broken, or?
(In a couple of month i will not know in which blocks all these links are located to correct them.)
Do you have a tip for workflow, how to handle corrections of the slugs in practice?

    Thank you in advance

    Best regards
    André

That’s right, all previous URLs won’t work, and if you want to keep your SEO you’ll need to make redirections from previous URLs to the new ones.
