How to link uploads on external hard drive / WP installed on C:

  • Hi,
    I’m new in wordpress. I would like to know if it is possible to link uploads in wordpress on different hard drive than apache is installed?

    I have Apache instaled on my server on C: but music and other stuff I have on external drive (for now).

  • It is not a good idea to open your harddrive to general public. Locations does not matter, if paths are correct in your Apache configuration. Music you want to show can be in any directory locally if the server is just for local use. Just make sure Apache can access it.
