How to locate and resolve Uncategorized Pages

    We use only Pages, not Posts!
    When using the search option (Colornmag theme) often a number of results show for some unclear annoying reason “Uncategorized”.
    1. I want to know how to locate all offending Pages
    2. I want to know how to fix the uncategorized behaviour.

    All solutions I have found are for “Posts” only and do not apply to “Pages”.

    That’s because WordPress PAGES, by default, have no categories at all. So, of course, you won’t find articles written for a feature that does not exist or a for custom feature you might have added.

    When using the search option (Colornmag theme) often a number of results show for some unclear annoying reason “Uncategorized”.

    Can you give an example query that would produce such a result so I can take a closer look? I tried several searches but didn’t find anything.

    Yes, I can see the “UNCATEGORIZED’ button you mentioned.

    It’s surely coming from your active theme… but I can’t, for the life of me, figure out how this could be as you have ZERO posts published on your site.

    I’ll recommend you just hide it with the following custom CSS in APPEARANCE => CUSTOMIZE => ADDITIONAL CSS:

    .search-results .cm-entry-header-meta {
    display: none;
}
