• Hi there,

I’m setting up a new site and only want a standard “welcome” post to show on the home page.

I only want other posts to be visible if you click on the relevant categories.

Is this possible? If so, how?

    Thanks in advance!

-You can set the number of posts show in Admin -Settings – Reading

-If you want your welcome post atay there up on the top all the time, then you can make this a sticky post. See Visibility setting (in the right panel)of Admin/Post area.

-To sho categories, you can use category widget in Admin -Appearance- Widget

Instead of just showing one ‘post’ on the front page, you could set up a welcome page, and show that on the front as a static front page. Do that by creating your desired page and setting it as your front page in settings->reading
