how to get rid of sidebars??????????

    Ok so i want to make a full width page (for my shopping cart) So what i did is made a new-page.php copy and pasted the old page.php to this new one now i have tried everything …but i cant manage to get the sidebars out without getting an error.

    i know some how i have to either “tell” to stop getting the right and left sidebar or somehow just delete it totally but without getting errors…
