    Hi my awesome GP folks,

I’m looking for a theme for a personal project and would love to know if GP works in my scenario.

I will need to place an image carousel section in the middle of the blogpost. I use the Classic Editor and write standard paragraphs within it. Between two paragraphs, usually in the middle of the blogpost, it is where I place the image carousel to show my photography work.

The default GP content container is 1200px, which works great but I would like to make the image carousel section wider than the rest of the blogpost body.

Also I should have mentioned that I disabled the sidebar for the blogpost.

Specifically speaking, I’d like to know if GP lets me overwrite the container only for the image carousel portion.

I see the image carousel plugin I use has something similar to

    div class="image-carousel"

that wraps up the portion, so I was wondering if I can add some css to make it wider than the container. I know it would be possibly doable but I still want to consult with your team and get myself educated on the topic first.

I’m not a developer and I have limit knowledge of css. If you can point me to the right direction, it will be greatly appreciated and will help me hire a developer to achieve this.

    Thank you!

    Hi there,

you can use CSS to force a element to be wider then its parent container. But it depends on the markup, and whether that carousel will play nicely with that resizing.

Is it possible to see the page with the carousel? I can then check the markup and if possible, provide the CSS

Hi David, thank you. My site is still in a local env right now, but I will set up a sample site for you to see.

Kindly keep the thread open and thank you for your patience!

Hi David, I re-evaluate my new site and I have decided to not make it too complicated and to continue using the default width of the container. Sorry for the confusion and THANK YOU so so much for the prompt response.

    No problem!
