    Hi there.
1st a lot of thanks to the amazing developers at Huemen and a special thanks to BDBROWN for being so supportive and helpful.
    **********************************

I am preparing a membership site where, users can see the embed documents. But they will get to see the download links to download the documents only when they login to the site (am using wordpress plugin for creating the membership). The Huemen theme is working extremely well.

    The Issue :

I log in to the site. I browse the articles. Then I log out and I get redirected to the home page. But when I press the back button of the browser I directly go back to previous page as a logged in user with all the locked download links – unlocked to download. Interesting thing is, If after logging in I viewed 5 posts as a logged in user, then after logging out – when back button is pressed – the I can go back to see all the 5 posts that I saw before (even though I did log out).

I searched a lot regarding this on net. Its very confusing. I came across this :

Your problem is caused by back-forward cache. It is supposed to save complete state of page when user navigates away. When user navigates back with back button page can be loaded from cache very quickly. This is different from normal cache which only caches HTML code.

Here is the link to that post

Many forums also said that – the only way to this solution for WordPress based sites is to have a setting in your wordpress theme / settings- so that when ever an user presses back button the theme post/page gets refreshed/reloaded.

I noticed that once reloaded, then the user needs to log in again (and not taken directly to the browser cached unlocked page).

So, if there is any codes/scripts/php that can be used in the Huemen theme to achieve this, then it will be really helpful.

Thank you again for the awesome support and waiting for the solutions.

  • Hi,

    Sorry to interrupt your thread.
What you need is a custom javascript solution which does not depend on Hueman theme.

Perhaps you will want to hire a developer from https://jobs.wordpress.net to assist you in creating this solution.

    Thank you.

    hi, Deb M;

I’ve seen your issue, and its the same problem and really nearly the same history was facing me for around one year, and I’ve got the same answers which you’ve got, which didn’t help me. therefore would you please tell me, how did you solve the problem.
thanks in advance for your help
