How to make blog post NOT appear in slider

  • I currently have 3 posts that show in the slider on my homepage. I want to create additional posts but I do not want them to show in the slider. Is there a way to do this? I tried changing the categories on the post and the slider but it didn’t work. The new posts show in the slider.

    Create a category for the slides (ie; Slider or slides etc) and then go to Themes/Customize and choose Modality Slider Options. There you can select what category appears in the slider. Once you select your chosen category name for the slide posts, other posts won’t appear in the slider. trick is, you have to create a slide category and slide FIRST because, until you do, it won’t show up as an option in the theme customization drop down.
