    Hello,

I would like to know, how to set some Categories as Necessary (Always enabled)!

There is no Checkbox to define the Category as Necessary.

    Thank you in advance!

    Regards,
    Boris

    Hi @zaricb,

The free version only allows the Necessary category to set as ‘always enabled’. With the premium version of the plugin, you can enable the same for any category.

    Hi @webtoffee ,

Thats fine for me. I only want to set ‘always enabled’ for the Necessary category, but it also doesnt work.

    Hi @webtoffee ,

i have now checked, if the Necessary Category would be checked as ‘always enabled’, if I deactivate the Plugin ‘Polylang’. And it did. So Your Plugin is not compatible with the Plugin ‘Polylang’. Is there any solution for this?

I need to implement your Plugin into an Multi-Lang-Site.

    Hi @zaricb,

Please set the category slug( under Cookie Category > Necessary(quick edit) as ‘necessary’ instead of existing ‘notwendige’.

    Hi, @webtoffee ,

the slug is already set to ‘necessary’ for the Category ‘Necessary’, but it still doesn’t work. There are two more translation for the Category ‘Necessary’ that are linked to this Category (‘Notwendige’ and ‘Necesarias’). I am not able to change the slug for those two translated Categories to ‘necessary’, because the slug is already used for the Category ‘Necessary’.

    Any other solutions?

    Hi @zaricb,

Please list the categories of only one language using the language switcher in the top bar and then use the quick edit to set the slug.

    Hi @webtoffee ,

I have checked that already. The slug is already set to ‘necessary’!

    It doesn’t work!

    Hi @zaricb,

Open the site url https://getyoursportbuddy.com/wp/en/home/ in Chrome. Then open developer console > Application tab > Cookies > Click on site domain and you will see a cookie ‘cookielawinfo-checkbox-notwendige’ , which means the slug is still ‘notwendige’.

    Hi @webtoffee ,

I See what you mean. Listen ….. I Have 3 SAME CATEGORIES:

    1. Necessary -> SLUG -> necessary
    2. Notwendige (Necessary Category in German) -> SLUG -> notwendige (Cant change to necessary, because FIRST CATEGORY SLUG is set to necessary)
    3. Necesarias (Necessary Category in Spanish) -> SLUG -> necesarias (SAME HERE: I Can not change the slug to ‘necessary’ because the first category is already using the slug ‘necessary’)

    Do you understand me now???

I CANT CHANGE notwendige to necessary!!! The Slug can only set ONE TIME FOR ONE CATEGORY.

    Any other help?

    Hi @zaricb,

To address that situation, go to the Cookie Category page and list German language categories only instead of all languages and click on the Quick Edit link of Notwendige category and set the slug there. Similarly, you can do for the Spanish language too.

This is a common work around done in this situation. We have it even documented here.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi @webtoffee ,

now I understand what you are trying to explain me.
I did not understand what you mean by list German language.

In the WordPress-Backend, there is a language switcher at the top of the Bar. Only if one Language is selected, the slug ‘necessary’ can be set multiple times for more than one language.

    Thank you!
