How to make expanding side-menu?

    I’m trying to set up the Vertical Header so it expands from the left side, to a fixed PX width. So far, using what’s readily available in the 2025 theme, it appears on the left (vertical column with hamburger icon on left) but fully covers the entire page when opened, with the X icon up in the right corner.

    I’m new to the Block system but not WP.
