    Hi,

I am pretty much new to web building/designing. On my front page, the featured images are cropped, which makes the site look funky. How can I edit the css to make the featured images appear as thumbnails and not cropped? My website is new.platefulofyum.com

I need all the help and clear cut instructions I can get. Last time I messed with the function.php I had a parse error and had to restore my previous version (I’d rather not go through that again).

    Seriously clueless. Help!

  • You’d probably need a plugin to do this or modify the code in index.php where it calls the_post_thumbnail()

But seriously – the theme creates HUGE pages when it really shouldn’t. There’s no reason it needs to download a large sized image just to show a thumbnail. I’m looking over the theme this week to get some of these issues nailed down. It’s free so I can’t complain too much.

Due to the code it’s hard to tell the correct size for anything since it seems to pull a 1000×640 image for EVERYTHING and then crops using hidden overflows. It’s murder when looking at the page on a mobile device.

Platefulofyum has podido lograr que las miniaturas no salgan cortadas en el theme de worpress Magazino?.

resolved that the thumbnails are not cut Magazino worpress theme?.

alguien resolvió que las imágenes de las columnas se independicen de las del header rotador. Gracias
