How to make featured image SEO friendly?

I am using a theme which use featured image (https://vvcap.net/db/igUcNVCXjBO3OmZWTG8g.png) to show in post(not in content area image) so there is not alt tag in image, So how can I make these images SEO friendly using this plugin?
