How to make field required

Hello,

Thank you for your pluggin.
I would like to know if there is a way to make fields required.
I try to modify you code by adding
$required = ‘required’;
$input = $this->html->input( $type, $name, $value, $atts ,$required);
in the function _render_input() but it’s not working

Do you have any idea to do this?
