How to make Footer Menu show up Horizontally instead of Vertically?

I’ve been looking at the forums, trying to figure this out ??

And tried adding this to my child theme style.css

.footer ul li
{
display: inline-block;
}

And nothing is happening?

My footer menu is called ‘footer’, that’s why I changed the ‘menu-footer’ to ‘footer.

The site I’m working on is https://cathyflorence.com and I’m using a child theme of Twenty Twelve.
