How to make image appear in searched items as small icon? Design and coding?

  • Hi, This may not exist yet, but I was wondering if when a user queries a search for an item in the wordpress site and gets a menu of the entries related to their search they normally get text and an abbreviated text. Is it possible to have a thumbnail of the articles image also appear in the shortened search results?

    So for example they would see the following?
    Image Here Small

    then the abbreviated text below>
    blah blah blahblah blah blahblah blah blahblah blah blahblah blah blahblah blah blahblah blah blahblah blah blahblah blah blahblah blah blahblah blah blah

    I have not found a plugin for this, but if someone knows how this might be achieved let me know. M (I am using 2.7)

    I am posting in plugins and hacks, hope this was the right area, I suspect this will have be done this way.
