How to make images smaller in wordpress

  • Hi, I am trying to make my images smaller, that I uploaded in wordpress. I have gone to settings, then media settings and changed the sizes, but then when I go back to view the page. The images are still large.
    If anyone can help me please.

    Hi!

    Changing the image size settings will not change existing images.
    There is a plugin that can do this for you: Regenerate Thumbnails.

    Please note that the sizes dispalyed in Settings > Media may not be the only sizes used by your site. Your theme may add and use additional image sizes that cannot be changed from this Settings page.
