How to make it work with menus?

Hi,

The problem is that the ‘tooltips’ class gets added to the parent element, while the title attribute gets added to the child element.

For the tooltip to work, both have to be added to the same element.

I will keep this feature in mind perhaps in a future version of the plugin I will be able to incorporate it.

Yes, I checked and saw that the class was being added to the menu element and not to the tooltip attribute.

But if you got that sorted out in a future version, that would be great!

I just released version 1.1 which allows you to apply tooltips to WordPress menus. You can do this by entering the CSS selectors for the menus you want to enable. Go to Settings > Simple Tooltips > Menu Selectors.
