How to make posts have left sidebar

Yes, of course. Page and post work the same way. If you use left sidebar for your pages, the post will use left sidebar too

In gridsby you set the page to use one of several page templates. One being left sidebar. Pages set for left sidebar have a left sidebar. There is no template choice for posts. And there doesn’t appear to be a choice for left sidebars in customizer.

So what is the solution? I don’t see the sidebar option in my edit post area…
Any ideas please?

You’re going to need to set up a child theme. In that child them you need to have a modified single.php. Look at the line in single for the content where it says push-left and make it push-right.

That, in conjunction with setting your pages to use the left sidebar template will make this a left sidebar theme.
