  • Hi sharadjustin. To float one of the sidebars try the Sticky Anything plugin.

Didnt work, tried entering the elements as .sidebar, .s1,.s2 but no change at all.

Using .sidebar won’t work because it’s not unique. I’ve tried it on a default theme installation and it works with the main menu and both .s1 and .s2.

If it’s doable with a plugin then you could probably come up with some code to add to your site. You might install the plugin and look at the code to get some ideas.

I see you’ve just recentely joined the forum. Welcome, and appreciate you taking your time to help others here. If you haven’t read the WP Forum Welcome you might give it a look. One of the things you’ll find is this:

If you’re helping out, do your best to fully assist the person having the issues, and do not use your support as an excuse to promote your own site/themes/plugins. That behavior is frowned upon.

I’ve noticed that you include a link to your site in all your posts. I don’t know that you’re actually trying to promote your site but the forum moderators might see it that way. They may also consider it a “signature”, which is also addressed in the Forum Welcome:

Signatures in threads will be removed as they cause clutter and distract from the information and help provided.

Just something for you to consider. Again, thanks for your contributions to the forum.

Thanks, I’ll keep that in mind while helping others.
