how to make tabbed box with right vertical tabs

  • I’d like to make a tabbed box on my homepage that looks something like these, with the tabs on the right sitting vertically on top of each other: example 1 | sample 2

    My theme came with a tabbed box in the sidebar, so I moved it to my main content area and am trying to adapt it. Can anyone help me? Here are some things I can’t figure out:

    1. How to get tabs to sit vertically
    2. How to put a background color on the box content (different from background of page)
    3. How to put a border on the box
    4. How to remove bullets from tab titles

    Thanks for any help you can give. I am not a programmer…FYI.

    I figured out #2, one down three to go. Is there anyone that can help me figure out the simple CSS changes? It’s over my head. I have searched and searched online for tutorials but none of the ones I found worked when I implemented them. I just need to move the horizontal top header to the right side as vertical buttons. Anyone??
