  • Anyway the tag words can all be one size?

The tags at the top (REMINDER I HATE THE PLACEMENT – CAN WE MOVE IT TO THE SIDEBAR?? please) are weight based, so the more posts tagged with “plugins” the bigger the word will be. I find it clutters the page, too, but this is a new toy. It has its use, it is just in a challenging place to have to look at in order to get past it to get to the meat and potatoes of the forum.

    Useful things, though.

ilovetheweb, the tags are displayed as a heatmap. IOW, more popular tags get a bigger font. However, I agree that they shouldn’t belong at the top of the forums. But, in the end, it is Matt’s decision.

I’m with Lorelle: that huge expanse of grey right sidebar on the main page just BEGS to have the heatmap fill it up!

Another thread moderated and one deleted.

If YOU have received a reply and you do not understand or are confused, just post back and explain carefully where you get lost.

If YOU are going to reply, take a breath, chill for a moment, then start typing. Yes that can be difficult to do but just as you may be frustrated by someone, their situation may be leading them to post in an annoying way.

    Either way, post clearly.

And if you just want to lob in some destructive opinions because you feel like venting, don’t. Your post WILL get deleted. We are here to post for, and get, support. Having a pop at someone who has at least tried to help someone out just shows what sort of person you actually are.

I think we should have a link that goes to all strings we’ve recently posted to. I’ve posted a couple today, and in order for me to remember which strings they are I’d have to write them down just so I can go back and check on them.

I just wanted to jump in for a second to say this forum is wonderful. Everyone that helps us that no nothing appreciate you very much. Ive been on here asking questions for the past few days and have gotten some excellent help. Thank you. *koolaid smile*

I prefer to show my thanks by answering other people’s questions. I don’t expect people to say thank you to me… just return the favour to someone else.

I’d like to share another resource which has developed more or less since I started my WordPress blog and which might help other people who were as new to this as I was then.

First of all I’d like to say a big THANK YOU to the team here – regardless of what the previous poster says, I know that thanks to Podz in particular I would never have got my blog working the way I wanted it to without his gracious and unstinting help.

The Bella Online php and my sql editor has been setting up a site in which she is teaching PHP and it might be worth adding that to the help resources – the address is https://www.bellaonline.com/site/php.
